Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account information you provide (name, email, password hash, business or individual details), the documents you upload (bank statements, receipts, 1099s, W-2s), and standard product telemetry (request logs, error reports). We do not sell any of it.

2. How we use it

To operate the service: categorize your documents, prepare your books, generate reports, allow your CPA (on Pro+ and Business+) to review and sign off, and bill you via Stripe. We do not use your data to train third-party models.

3. Where it lives

Google Cloud (United States). Postgres for the ledger; Google Cloud Storage for documents. Per-tenant isolation is enforced at the database layer (see the Security page).

4. Sub-processors

Google Cloud Platform (hosting), Anthropic (AI inference), Stripe (billing), Brevo or equivalent (transactional email — pending wire-up). A full list with purposes will appear on this page once finalized.

5. Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data by emailing privacy@keobooks.com. We respond within 30 days. Specific state-level rights (CCPA, CPRA, etc.) will be enumerated by counsel.

6. Retention

Books and documents are retained for as long as your engagement is active, plus the minimum period required for tax and audit purposes (typically 7 years in the US). On account deletion, personal identifiers are removed; book records may be retained in de-identified form for legal compliance.
